Esports, Gaming & Broadcasting
Do you dream of a career in gaming? In this course, you'll explore a range of topics related to the gaming and interactive media industry, including competitive esports, broadcasting and media, game development, diversity and inclusion, and more. You'll work collaboratively to broadcast an esports match on-site, gaining hands-on experience in production, directing, announcing, marketing and communications, and competitive play. You’ll also have a chance to meet industry experts to learn from their experience and explore potential careers in gaming.
What You'll Learn
- How to apply marketing skills for desired outreach to targeted audiences
- The fundamentals of the Discord communication app and its relevance for gaming communities
- A basic understanding of an esports broadcast production
Who Should Register
The course is for incoming ninth to 12th graders.
